I really wish I posted more. I take the time to stop once a week or so and read everyone else's blog. And think how great it is that others manage to share and keep up with their blog so well. And then I think how I suck at it.
Not that I have time to keep a blog. But it's something I like to do. Need to do. Wish I'd do. So here's a quick post. And maybe in a couple months I will do another one. Ha.
RN school is in full gear... and almost over. May 14th people! I get a knot in my stomach when I think about it. I don't think I realized when I signed on for this I might actually BE a nurse someday soon! Kind of overwhelming. I'm loving it though. Not loving my lack of sleep or lack of time with my family, but loving the experience. If you had told me ten years ago I was going to become a nurse, and actually enjoy it, I would have said you were crazy.
Kids are growing like crazy. They had a wonderful Christmas. They are completely spoiled. Sam turned 3 in January. He's as wild as ever. He's home with me today. Two ear infections again and FINALLY an appt with an ENT to get his tonsils out. Poor guy can't sleep or eat. And if he's not sleeping, well, no one else is either. Mason is doing awesome in first grade. He's reading really well and is amazing at math. If only he could sit still and lower his voice... Kooper is bigger everytime we see him. Such a little man. And my husband is as great as ever. Don't know how I'd survive without him. He is literally Mr. Mom while I'm in school. This last semester is really taking a toll on me and he's stepping up to the plate admirably. I really need to do something nice for him. When I find the time...
Needless to say I'm a little overwhelmed right now. There are a million other things I should be doing right now but I'm blogging. Maybe it's therapeutic. Lord knows I probably need therapy by now.
I'm going to close with a funny Mason story. The other night Mason was asking Mike about the really big scar on his forehead. He knew his dad had gotten it from a golf club. He asked if he got hit "before or after you & momma were married." Mike told Mason he got hit when he was 6 years old. "Younger than you are now." Mason got real serious and asked, "They had golf back then?" :)Priceless
Until next time!
