Vegas was a blast. The funny thing is, we really didn't DO anything! Everyone keeps asking if we saw any shows, gambled alot, or went to different places, and we just keep telling them no. Neither one of us are big gamblers. We enjoyed just seeing different things, eating good food, and the time together more than anything. I even layed out by the pool for several hours one day while Mike went to a class. The weather was just awesome! I think Mike and I will both look back and remember our night at the Playboy Club inside the Palms Casino, but as the saying goes, "What happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas!"
After 5 days without my kids, I was dying to see them. Unfortunately it took two plane rides home to get to them. I hate planes. I had hoped that maybe I would enjoy it this time, but nope. Still hate them. We were booked for a layover in Denver both ways, so I had the luck of riding 4 planes. Yup. Still hate planes.
The boys seemed to have been good while we were gone. They stayed with Molly from Sunday to Wednesday. Her and Robert taught Mason how to swallow a pill and Sam how to drink from a hard top cup. Things Mike and I had been trying and failing at. I told her I'm sending Mason back to learn to ride his bike without training wheels! Wednesday, mom went and got the boys and took them home so they could sleep in their beds. She said when she put Sam in his crib, he "aaahhhhddddd" and went right to sleep. She, the brave soul she is, took them to Chucky Cheese the next day, so we are the proud owners of some chucky cheese cups, toys, and pictures on our fridge. Pretty cute. I think she said by Thursday, Mason was finally missing us. I know Mike and I were sure missing them! It was so nice to get away and have a vacation, just the two of us, but it was even better coming home!
